name of the place between lips and nose

do you know what is the name of the place that is between lips and nose?
well some people had say for the function but not the name itself. because they had no idea what it is.
there's saying that it's to differentiated human with a ghost. or it's for like a portal to water so the water didn't come to mouth. well i don't really know 'bout that.
for those who looking for the name of this part. i had an answer for this. but in the name of science. it is called "philtrum". so for those who looking some answer, i hope this help.
